Unsolved 0xc000007b during installation and when trying to run Qt Creator
-
Hi everyone!
I'm new, so I'm not sure I'm posting in the correct section. I hope. This is the first time I want to try Qt, I never ever used it before.
So I tried installing Qt Creator (open source licence), using the online installer, but there have been several errors during the installation. I uninstalled, rebooted, tried the offline installer... No way, it doesn't work. All the errors are related to MinGW 4.9.2.
Here are the snapshots:- 44% - 0xc000007b
- 44% - 1st error detail
- 44% - 0xc000007b
- 44% - 2nd error detail
- 44% - 0xc000007b
- 44% - 3rd error detail
- 61% - 0xc000007b
- 61% - 4th error detail
- 61% - 0xc000007b
- 61% - 5th error detail
I had no other way than to ignore the errors, and the installation seemed to be complete anyway.
Qt Creator didn't start: I got the following error and get it whenever I try to run Qt Creator:
I'm running on Windows 10 Home Edition x64.
The version I tried to install: Qt 5.5.1 for Windows 32-bit (MinGW 4.9.2, 1.0 GB)Does anyone know how to solve this?
I already had this 0xc000007b error with other programs and solved it once.
The thing is that before the error, the program was missing some DLLs, and when I downloaded them and put them in the .exe's folder, I actually downloaded the 64-bit versions which caused the error. Replacing them with the 32-bit versions solved the problem, so I'm wondering if here the problem is related to some libraries or not, as I'm on a 64-bit system. Thanks by advance!

Hi and welcome to devnet,
Might be related to the Visual Studio runtime. How many of them do you have installed ?
-
Thanks!
I have Visual Studio 2010, but I plan to delete it as I recently got Visual Studio 2015 Community.
In the Program Files (x86) folder, there are several folders that seemed to have been installed with VS2015 (however I'm not sure as I noticed that after installing it, so maybe it was here with VS2010). Those folders are 9.0, 10.0, 12.0, 14.0. However, 9.0 and 12.0 aren't filled with many things.
In the normal Program Files folder, I have the same folders, but none of them are filled with a lot of things. -
If you already have Visual Studio installed, then I'd try to installed Qt for Visual Studio to see if it's happening again. Note that the issue should be unrelated, you can have several versions of Qt installed without any problem.

Mmh... okay... But there's no Qt for VS2015, the last version is for VS2013, right?

5.6 beta has a package for VS2015
