[SOLVED]Qt creator :: compiler
-
i installed the Qt libraries 4.8.4 for Windows (VS 2010) and then I installed the latest version of Qt creator.
I used a MinGw compiler ..
this way https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3vywie-X5zuUmVWODJEbDhyUHc/edit?ups=drive_weband after the first try I got this : https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3vywie-X5zudXNfT1dvQ2puMzQ/edit?ups=drive_web
should I install Qt libraries 4.8.4 for Windows (minGW 4.4) so that it works ?
(I tried it befor but there a .h file that it doesen't find during the installation)
thanks in advance -
If you want to use MinGW with the Qt library, you need to download the Qt version build for MinGW and not the VS2010 version.

You got two alternatives.
As t3685 already stated you cannot mix version of different compilers. Even mixing between different versions of the same compiler is not possible (e.g. msvc2008, msvc2012, the same also for the different MInGW versions).
You can download Qt4.8.4 as prebuild for MinGW 4.4, when you have already MinGW 4.4.
You can also download the "Qt5 SDK":http://download.qt-project.org/official_releases/qt/5.0/5.0.2/qt-windows-opensource-5.0.2-mingw47_32-x86-offline.exe with Qt creator and MinGW 4.7 compiler.

Just to make sure. Also compiled libs and applications with different versions of MinGW (at least between V4.6 and V4.7) there no compatibility. With MSVC you need to ensure the correct version anyway.
