Qt 5.3 and XCode 6 beta
-
Hi everyone.
I installed OSX 10.10. XCode 5 isn't compatible with it anymore, so I installed XCode 6 beta. But now Qt 5.3 won't work anymore.
I open a C++ project from the .pro file, having deleted .user files. I choose regular Desktop kit, clean, build, and get this message: "Xcode not set up properly. You may need to confirm the license agreement by running /usr/bin/xcodebuild.".
Ok, fine, let's do this. I run "/usr/bin/xcodebuild" and get this: "xcode-select: error: tool 'xcodebuild' requires Xcode, but active developer directory '/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools' is a command line tools instance"Does someone know where to go from here to fix everything?

Hi,
You can try the qt irc channel. Using a Beta OS with a Beta version of Xcode, you won't be likely to get an answer quickly. You'll also have to build Qt from source since the OS X 10.10 detection had been added last week.

I solve this by two steps:
- Install command_line_tools_for_osx_10.9 from apple developer site
- XCode -> Preferences -> Locations -> Choose command line tools

bq. XCode 5 isn’t compatible with it anymore
I don't think this is true, it seems to work perfectly here.
Use xcode-select to set the active Xcode
