How to abort installation and uninstall what has been done so far?
-
I tried to install QT from: download.qt-project.org/official_releases/qt/4.8/4.8.6/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.6.tar.gz
My computer is still on the "make". Is there a possibility to abort the process?
How can I afterwards (with or without abort) uninstall QT again? -
What OS do you use?
Usually Ctrl-C breaks a build and you don't need to uninstall anything because you did not install anything yet. Installation from the sources is done by "make install"
After you break a build delete a directory with the sources if you don't need them to release some space of harddrive. If you are not going to modify Qt then it is better to install it using an installation package from "the official download page":http://qt-project.org/downloads
If you really need to build Qt from the sources then it is better to wait until build is finished. May take several hours depending on your hardware.
PS: It is "Qt" because it is "Qute" :-) The QT is a QuickTime

So with make, all files still remain within the folder where all the unpacked files are?
