[SOLVED] Qt Creator - QML-Design
-
Hello guys,
I want to use Qt Creator's QML-Designer, but it doesn't show me anything!
There's just an empty view with nothing in there. However I can still see a little thumbnail when I look in the states section above...I've built Qt und the Qt Creator myself from the Git-Repositories.
You can see the detailed versions in the screenshot below.Screenshot: http://i57.tinypic.com/15dl375.png
If not available anymore: Qt Creator 3.1.81 (MSVC 2013, x64) and Qt 5.3.1 (MSVC 2013, x64)Thanks for any help :)

This seems to be a bug in the code model, since you cannot see/select the root item.
My wild guess is that this is related to https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-38663.
Can you change the type of the root item it Item?

Jep that's it.
It seems like at the moment, it's not possible to design an ApplicationWindow-QML file without temporarily changing it to something Qt Creator can handle.Thank you very much :)

Actually you can patch the plugins.qmltypes file in Qt to get the code model working. See the patch in the bug report for details.
