Broken Profile Link?
-
Hi!
I currently have a problem that when I try to access my Profile over the menu on the right I get an 404 error. The link then is: @https://qt-project.org/member/166388@
If I go to one of my posts the link is: @https://qt-project.org/mebmer/166388@
and everything works fine.
Anyone else having this problem?
Regards

Yes, the same for me.
Wondering if some one hacked the page. Otherwise a typing error occurred not too long ago ;-)
You should file a bug report on "JIRA":https://bugreports.qt-project.org/secure/Dashboard.jspa

Ok, done it! :)
First time I create a bug report so is "this":https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTWEBSITE-573 ok?Regards

Perfect!
The bug report helps that it is not forgotten. There it has to be ticked off, while posts in devnet may be overlooked.
Thanks a lot! -
Hi,
AFAIK, It's not a bug, it's related to the problem of spam accounts we had these last weeks. The thing is with the current site architecture (which is not very manager friendly), some of the template have not been updated yet.

Workaround:
As far as I can see every time it's not working it's possible to open the user link when you click on the avatar instead of the User name.

It should be working now

Missed this thread, embarrassing...
Yes, it was due to changing paths for the member details. Took several days to find the small piece of code that wrote the html for that.
Thanks everyone for their patience :)

Hi,
The 'My profile' link in the upper right corner (next to '| Sign out') does not link to your member page directly, but via a relative path. This means, while reading this post it links to "http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/41405/mebmer/166774" rather than "http://qt-project.org/mebmer/166774".
When clicking my picture or name in the user frame it works correctly.

Yes, I just opened an editor to look where that is coming from.
It should be absolute paths everywhere, but apparently something in the system wants to use relative.

Found it :)
