[Solved] Using QML with c++
-
I'm trying to write a QML app that uses c++ logic. I was using this link to learn "http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/5.0/qtquick-applicationdevelopers.html":http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/5.0/qtquick-applicationdevelopers.html , but know it's broken.
I'm doing it in my free time, and fiding hard to find a good documentation. Is there any equivalent new link in the docs that I'm missing ?
Basically I'm trying to do things in small steps, for now I have calculator with buttons and a TextField, when pressing a button, I want to get the text fom the TexField and send it to c++ object method to calculate the value.
I am also checking this tutorial "http://kgronholm.blogspot.pt/2010/10/qt-quick-game-programming.html":http://kgronholm.blogspot.pt/2010/10/qt-quick-game-programming.html , but I not sure if this is oudated and using deprecate stuff. -
The bridging between QML and C++ is roughly the same in QML 1 and 2, so it's pretty safe to use old material.
Here are some links:
- "extending QML":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qml-extending.html
- "using QML bindings":http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/4.8/qtbinding.html
You can always use local Qt docs, too, they include all those pages (Qt Creator's Help or Assistant).

Thanks sierdzio. That's the links I was looking for.

Qt5 docs are going through another restructuring, it appears.
The new snapshot link is:http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/5.0/qtquick/qtquick-applicationdevelopers.html
No guarantees that the doc team won't change the location again, though, prior to the final release.
Cheers,
Chris.
