Bluetooth Application for mobile devices (Windows / Linux / Android)
-
Hi,
I have to develop an App for mobile devices which should run on Android, Linux and Windows. Is there any Bluetooth suppord (qt) for Android or/and Windows, maybe in 5.2 alpha/beta? Are there any examples? Thanks in advance.

There is not very good documentation for bluetooth. I am also looking for the same.

Qt 5 doesn't provide bluetooth support yet.
You will have to use JNI to do so. -
@raven-worx : Can you provide some useful links or tutorial to use jni with qt. I tried to find out but didn't got anything.

And what about QtConnectivity module. Will this not helpful for the same?

JNI Links: "here":http://community.kde.org/Necessitas/JNI, "here":http://jgoday.wordpress.com/2009/04/16/jni-with-qt-part1/ and ofc "google":https://www.google.com ;)
"QtMobility":http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/qt-mobility/index.html is for Qt4 only and thus outdated. Supported platforms were: Symbian, Maemo 5, Harmattan, MeeGo and Desktop platforms
Some of the QtMobility parts got re-released into Qt 5 as separate modules. But not all of them are available in Qt 5 again (such as QtLocation for example).

I managed to access serial bluetooth devices (RFCOMM protocol, SPP profile) by calling the Java API via JNI. That's a really ugly thing - but it works.

It seems that Qt 5.3 will provide a similar approach. Shame on Google that their NDK does not support Bluetooth!
