[Solved] Can´t add a compiler on Build&Run kit
-
Hi, I recently installed Qt creator on Windows 7 64 bits, and when I try to compile a project i have the next error message: "error: Qt Creator needs a compiler set up to build. Configure a compiler in the kit options."
If I go to Build&Run->Compilers, I have these:
- Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 (7.1.7600.0.30514) (x86) MSVC
- Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 (7.1.7600.0.30514) (amd64) MSVC
- Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 (7.1.7600.0.30514) (ja64) MSVC
In Build&Run->Kits, I have:
Desktop Qt 5.1.1 MSVC2012 64bit (default)
If i click on it, I have nothing on "compiler" section, and the contextual menu from it is disabled. I just can click on Manage, which does nothing, only gives me to Build&Run->compilers.
Any help?
Thank you and sorry if my english is not properly. -
Hi and welcome to devnet,
Since you have installed the MSVC2012 version, you need VisualStudio 2012 installed on your computer to use it.

Thank you it worked.
