[Solved] Why QtSDK doesn't maintain anymore ?
-
Hello there !
I was wondering, since Qt5.0 (or maybe since 4.8) the Qt installer (which was QtSDK aroung 4.7) can't "maintain" the installation anymore? I mean, when I installed Qt, I was used to start the maintenance tool, remove the unused tools, docs, sources and add some other packages, and now with 5.0 it's only possible to "remove" the installation.
It was great to have a maintenance tool to maintain Qt and it's packages, is there any reason for that ?
Thanks.

the old "QtSDK" was created by Nokia and had some bindings to them (e.g. it was shipped with device-sdks)
... as far as I know there is work in progress to offer a new "QtSDK" soon ... -

Thanks. Did you see it in a post? Or somewhere in the blog? If you did, can you tell me where I can stay tuned please :D -
e.g. the posts about new download-mirroring-system:
"Download Mirror Blog Post":http://blog.qt.digia.com/blog/2013/03/28/qt-project-needs-mirrors-for-the-new-download-service/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=qt-project-needs-mirrors-for-the-new-download-servicebq. Getting the new system into production is also a prerequisite for providing the new online SDK for the Qt Project.
so, following the blog-collection of "planet Qt":http://planet.qt-project.org/ is always a good point to stay up-to-date about Qt ...

Thank you. I'll watch these (I was already planning to be a mirror BTW ;)
