Qt5 RC1 installation - "Can't invoke otool" error
-
I currently am running Mountain Lion (10.8.2), with XCode Version 4.5.2 (4G2008a) installed.
When installing from qt-mac-opensource-5.0.0-rc1-clang-offline.dmg, I checked every available component box, including all source components.
Then, it gets stuck installing Qt patcher and pops up a dialog with the following text:
bq. Error during installation process (qt.500.patcher):
Error while relocating Qt: Can't invoke otool. Is Xcode installed?I also had the same problem in the Beta 2 version of Qt 5.
Surely others have run into this?

Well, do you have otool installed? Make sure to install command line tools from Xcode->Preferences->Downloads.

D'Oh! Clearly, that was/is a very good error code.
Was/is there some sort of readme for others installing this on the Mac that I missed. I admit I did it hastily. If so, it should mention that the command line tools are needed to install the Qt libs / SDK, I would think.
In any event, my problem is completely solved by this.
Thanks

I don't know, to be honest. I use cmd line tools for other things anyway, so I had them installed before proceeding with Qt.
