The term SDK is used very inconsistently in the Devnet.

Is there still an SDK? Will there be a new Qt-SDK released with Qt5 and Qt Creator?

Oh.. and another question: Will the old SDK-Users receive updates?

The old SDK was maintained by Nokia, who is no longer involved in Qt. That's why it stagnated. That version will no longer provide updates.

However, a new SDK -- similiar to the old one -- will be released with Qt 5.0.0. The current "beta installer":https://qt-project.org/downloads is already packaged in the SDK style, and contains Qt 5 libraries + Qt Creator.

After Qt 5.0.0 is released, work will also then begin to make the new SDK provide updates for Qt 4.8.x too.

I'm glad to see the SDK-thing continuing.

Maybe somone should fix the SDK terminology "here":https://qt-project.org/downloads in the Qt-Creator section.

Thank you for pointing to the terminology changes Michel.

As discussed, the terminology change has happened because Qt 5 also includes the tools in addition to the Qt libraries. Qt Creator is now bundled with Qt5. The goal is to be able to build everything, Qt5 libraries and tools from source:
            http://blog.qt.digia.com/blog/2012/11/13/qt-5-0-beta-2-is-out/

Due to this change, we are in a process cleaning up the terminology not only on the download page(s) as a part of the Qt5 launch, but also in the anouncement material, docuentation and so on. The aim is to get this ready before the Qt5 launch of course :)
