Hello-qtonpi

Finally got the build to work (yay) but when I run it, I get 90% of the screen white with a black rectangle in the bottom left corner of the screen. Like it is offset down 80% and left 30%.
was there more setup?

answered my own question... have to set the screen width and height. is there a way for qt to query the display (TV in this case) for its resolution?

Check "QDesktopWidget":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qdesktopwidget.html .

Sorry I'm such a newb, but in hello-qtonpi, the view is a QQuickView. Are you recommending that I rewrite it with QDesktopWidget? Or is there a way to access QQuickview properties?
@ QQuickView view;
view.setResizeMode(QQuickView::SizeRootObjectToView); view.setSource(QUrl(QCoreApplication::applicationDirPath() + "/qml/main.qml")); view.show();@
I'l admit, I'm new t OOP. all of my programming experience is in vanilla C.
