Cannot go through configuration for Qt-4.8.0 on Ubuntu 11.10.

I uninstalled my older Qt and tried to install the new one, but oddly I cannot even get it through the configuration stage.

i dont know weather this will work or not but u can do one thing download again and try re-installing it.

I guess you did download the *.zip package. This will Not work on a linux machine because of the different line endings. You have to take the *.gz or *.tar.bz2 package and it will work!
