[SOLVED]how do I start Qt SDK
-
After install it started spontaneously .
In the little (lower left) KDE menu,
no entry shows up in the development section
-
Look in /home/<username>/QtSDK
That is the default installation path.
-
Do you mean Qt Creator as Qt SDK? It should be available in the installed path, have you made a note of the path?
-
[qt4user@lmkiii bin]$ pwd
/home/qt4user/QtSDK/QtCreator/bin
[qt4user@lmkiii bin]$
[qt4user@lmkiii bin]$ ./qtcreatorBINGO! thanks!
-
You can add an alias "/home/qt4user/QtSDK/QtCreator/bin/qtcreator" so that you don't have to type the path always or change directory to this path.
The best way would be to add "/home/qt4user/QtSDK/QtCreator/bin" to PATH environment variable.
Appreciate if you could prefix the subject with [SOLVED], so that people will know that this is solved. Thanks.

Think you should have 'edit' link to the right of the initial thread or topic 'how do I start Qt SDK' under your name, click that link, and edit the title, just add [SOLVED] to the beginning of the title.
