Bringing Windows Embedded Compact and Standard 7 support to Qt
-
Hi all,
Just wanted to inform that we have been working with getting Windows Embedded 7 supported in Qt 4.8. So far it looks good and we think it will be possible to have about all modules working.
See our blog for more info + video: http://www.digia.com/en/blogs/Qt-blog/Digias-Qt-blog/Dates/2011/10/Running-Qt-Commercial-on-Windows-Embedded-7
We will contribute to the Qt 4.8 open source version as well.
Yours,

What is Windows Embedded 7?.. Is it WP7?..
-
Then it would be called WP7 and not windows embedded 7 ;-)
Windows embedded is for embedded devices, such as medical equipement, machine stearings etc. Windows Phone 7 is for mobile phones.

No, for details about the Windows Embedded Compact 7 check "the official info about it from Microsoft":http://www.microsoft.com/windowsembedded/en-us/evaluate/windows-embedded-compact-7.aspx
P.S. I really hope to hear soon that Qt will be also supported as a Windows Phone app development too.
