[solved] How to know where are qt files?
-
Hello
In archlinux with qt 4.7.4 installed, translations are in /usr/share/qt/translation but in Ubuntu 11.10 with same version of Qt, there are in /usr/share/qt4/translation. I don't know where are them in Fedora and other distros. Is there a way to determine where are them?

qmake -query

So how should I use it in application? Should I call qmake -query in application and grep the result to get QT_INSTALL_TRANSLATIONS ??

Well, determining the path at runtime is something different. You might take a look at the Qt sources how Qt itself does it.

Use the following call to determine the path to the .qm translation files:
@
QLibraryInfo::location(QLibraryInfo::TranslationsPath)
