    @keksi-venksi said in How to detect Stream is not playing QMediaplayer: Meanwhile Im also facing the same issue , I use m_mediaplyar.play() but nothing played in the screen So you are saying you get "DirectShowPlayerService::doSetUrlSource: Unresolved error code 80004005" if i try to do a "setmedia" on my mediaplayer to change url and get a good one just like the OP, right?

    @JoeCFD Thank you, it does seem to be a Qt issue with Gnome. I had issues with QVideoWidget, QWidget::createWindowContainer and QColorDialog::getColor corrupting the rendering of my application. Out of desperation I switched everything to KDE and it works as expected. The raspberrypi was my fault and fixed it by explicitly specifying the backend

    Were you able to find a solution to this? Currently stuck on this. I see my soundcard when doing aplay -l and arecord -l. I am also able to play audio with gst-launch-1.0 playbin. Alsamixer shows me an entire array of controls. However, Qt doesn't seem to recognize this.

    Nice ! Thanks for the feedback That was more or less what I wanted to suggest but I did not know about QDataFrameInput yet thus it's even simpler :-)

    @SGaist said in Want to show detect camera using QCamera: What are you doing differently between your code and the working example ? I assume @xylo212 is talking about a different camera... the camera from the computer works, while the "oven camera" (whatever it is) does not... maybe driver or connection issue. No one can tell if @xylo212 doesn't provide more info.

    @JoeCFD Yes, I figured that out. I tried to set the environment variable QT_MEDIA_BACKEND to gstreamer and managed to have a glimpse of video stream in Qt 6. However I had a lot of lost packets, lantency issues and network errors (that I don't have in Qt 5). Another problem of Qt 6 is that I need a QCamera object to be able to record thorugh QMediaCaptureSession and QMediaRecorder and I don't know how to set a QCamera with a remote IP camera. So I decided to go back to Qt 5 (where I can at least successfully see the video stream). For now I'm trying to record the video stream via a QProcess that executes the Linux command ffmpeg -rtsp_transport tcp -i rtsp://<user>:<password>@<IP>:<port> -acodec copy -vcodec mpeg4 videotest.mp4 It seems that it works this way, but it's only going to work on Linux machines.

    Nevermind, I figured it out... So it seems that setSource reasonably expects you to actually have stopped the media beforehand. Doing so and adding a small wait works like a charm and indeed plays it asynchronously! Relevant example. m_player->stop(); QThread::msleep(100); m_player->setSource(url); m_player->play();

    Hi, if you have to straming audio and video files you could use live555 on server side and, client side, only QMediaPlayer using rtsp.
